Magick 101 – A Non-Comprehensive, Non-Authoritative Spellcasting Guide!
As someone who not only performs spellwork professionally, (See Here), but who also sells handmade spell tools, (Here), and teaches lessons on magickal theory and technique, (Over Here), I’m obviously very interested in all of the different ways that magick fits and functions in our daily lives. I’ve been trying to figure out a good delivery system for the information that I distribute with my spell tools and kits and I’ve decided to open a category in this blog for the various articles, resources and lists. From now on if you look at the “Magick 101″ category, you’ll be able to find information about general spellcasting, basic magick theory, the use of the tools that I myself make and whatever other little tidbits I happen to toss in.
I’m hoping over time to accumulate a fairly extensive collection, so check back periodically. Also, please feel free to post a comment if there’s a topic that you’d like to learn more about, which I haven’t covered! There are some things that can still best be taught in one-on-one lessons, but I always encourage people to learn some of the basics on their own and I always talk about the free resources out there, to encourage people not to spend money before they need to. I might as well be a free resource, while I’m at it! ;)
An Important Disclaimer: I am an Eclectic Green Witch, which means that I draw on a number of different paths and practices in my own work, but do not belong to any of the many official magickal traditions. As such, I am an “authority” only on my own practices. This blog will include tips, tricks and suggestions from a number of different traditions, but it should not be taken as an authoritative source on any organized religion or tradition. If you decide that you’d like to follow an organized tradition yourself then please go to a member of that tradition for detailed, specific information. Always remember though that Real, Legitimate Religions will be happy to provide you with free information about their beliefs. If someone wants to charge you money to even learn enough to know if you’d like to join, they’re not religion; they’re a scam.
